Met a local that got us VIP experience! Had reservations at the bar at opening! The name cards at chairs was an added touch making it feel super special! Alex is one of the best bartenders we have experienced in a long time! All drinks were Fantastic! Now food: on point, amazing, flavor, no need for extra sauce, a must eat location in Laurel Ms. **side note because it was just that bad but did not want to lower score on food and drink!!! Please deep clean bathrooms and then keep them CLEAN .. they were bad. ( had it not been at the end of our experience, we would not have eaten here at all, normally a bathroom reflects the kitchen)
We visited The Loft on a Tuesday early evening. We arrived at 5:00 when the restaurant opens. At that time a line was forming, but we had no problem securing a table. The menu has various steaks, seafood, chicken, and pasta dishes to choose from. I chose a rib eye steak and fried shrimp dinner, and my wife ordered grilled chicken. My wife really enjoyed her chicken. I found the steak to be quite flavorful and cooked as ordered. The shrimp was a nice addition, but the steak was the star. My wife's meal came with vegetables and mine came with a baked potato. I enjoyed the potato, although I would have preferred the skin to be crispy. The atmosphere at The Loft is nice, with dimmed lighting and rustic decor. Our server was excellent, refilling our beverages without prompting and checking on our table several times throughout our meal. Our experience at The Loft was positive and I would recommend it for people in the Laurel area looking for a nice meal in a casual setting.
After spending the day driving from North Carolina, the restaurant was a perfect way to unwind and begin our visit to Laurel. I had the filet, superb, and my wife had the chicken. She said it may have been the best she’s ever had. The service was fast and friendly. A visit to Laurel should always include a dinner at the Loft.
Came to visit Laurel on New Year’s Eve and this joint is just about the only restaurant that’s open. Should’ve thought about this before making the 7 hours drive. lol BUT, the food is awesome!! Given it’s the only place opened, the wait is about 40 min at 6:30pm. We had the crab cake stack for appetizer and whatever they put in the sauce is AMAZING!! When we were looking at the menu, the table next to us had a big fat chunk of pork chop and the lady gave us the thumbs up claiming it’s the best item on the menu, so that’s what the husband ordered. No kidding it’s hands down the BEST pork chop we ever had!! It’s about an inch and some thick and it’s cooked perfectly and juicy all the way. I had the blackened red fish and the flavor is wonderful. If we ever come back to Laurel we will definitely stop again!

Definitely call ahead for a table. We waited about 30 minutes. Not too bad but if you’re starving call ahead. We got fried mushrooms & cheesy fries as apps and they were both delicious. We both got the ribeyes, which were cooked perfectly and were super tender, sides of asparagus & steamed broccoli with side salads. Everything was really just wonderful. The ambience was great, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Hubby got a margarita which was delish. My dirty martini was just ok. I highly recommend this place!
It was well worth a trip to the Loft for their food and drink. Our server was the best. She was attentive, professional and friendly. She answered our questions and made ordering a pleasure. The food was exquisite. We had the smoked prime rib, and there is absolutely nothing that could have made the meal any better than it was. The prime rib egg rolls appetizer were perfect. The atmosphere is amazing if not just a bit too loud for our taste. However, that didn't diminish our experience at all.
Get there a few minutes before opening or go later! Large portions, easy to share. Prime rib was excellent and the chicken parm superb! The salad was lovely and delicious. Margarita and Cabernet were great. Ask for Quanda, she’s fabulous.
The food in general was fabulous. The crab cakes were the best I have had anywhere in the country. The coffee crusted burger was absolute perfection and cooked exactly as asked. The shrimp bang bang po boy was delicious and could not be beat even in New Orleans. Our server, Cassidy, was phenomenal from getting me a fruit skewer for my beer to orchestrating our meal so the timing was perfect.
The food was delicious and our server was very nice. She checked on us often to make sure we were OK. I ordered the Loft Burger with fries and my husband ordered the Chicken Parm Pasta, both of our meals were very good. My burger was huge. My husband's chicken and the potato were both huge. The potato was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks, I don't remember what they were called on their menu. I forgot to take a photo of that side of the menu. They were SO good. You could make a meal our of those. They were huge. You got three of those. We were visiting from out of town and the restaurant was recommended to us by someone at the Laurel Mercantile. It was a wonderful suggestion, the best restaurant we ate at while we were in Laurel.
